Told ya to get ready to see BiSH mentioned a lot, right? Not long ago I said Keyakizaka46 would probably win PV of the year, but after reviewing everything that came out this year, one PV was simply better. BiSH’s “Hontou Honki” is so expressive, fun, full of personality and well filmed that it had to win. The Ayuni D factor also makes it a huge win for me. Since she wrote the lyrics to the song and plays such a strong presence in the video, it’s hard for me to not love it. I fell for that girl hard, man. But yeah, after intense review, this is the ultimate PV of 2016 for me.
This was no easy choice either. If 2016 was a great year for music, it was a brilliant year for PV’s. Nearly 75 made it into my short list, and narrowing it down was such a painful process I decided to go with my top 25. Instead of re-writing so much, I will link to my old roundups of these videos.
