It’s fair to say that 2020 was a whole pile of suck, so what better way to life the mood than with a new Yabai T-Shirts Yasan album. The band’s fourth full-length collects past songs such as “Sprite”, “Yuchaku☆NIGHT” and “Awa Our Music” while also adding 9 new tracks into the mix, featuring all of the energy, intensity and exuberance that we’ve come to expect from the 3-piece over the years. Lead track “Give Me the Tank-top is an instant favorite and joins the likes of “Hayakukaeshite DVD” and “No Money Dance” as some of my personal recommendations from this release. Yabai T-Shirts Yasan have never been afraid of being over the top and it’s good to hear that this remains true on this release also. While at their core all of this tracks are very well crafted and executed the goofy, fun dynamic is something that I and I think a lot of other people probably need a bit more of currently and I’m happy to say that there is plenty of that on offer here so jump right in and I’m sure that you’ll have a blast with this album. A nice positive note to end off this roundup on I think.
