Japan has a lot of Indie Rock bands, and I mean A LOT. So it takes quite a bit for you to stand out from the crowd. To do so MINT mate box, weird name by the way, have decided to go the route of writing the most infectious vocal and guitar hooks that they can think of. It obviously worked because here I am writing about their debut EP “present” which in all honestly is a lot better than some of the stuff that groups that have been around for years are putting out right now. They’re currently signed to Tower Records but I can see big things in this band’s future if they decide to stick at it, which they really really should.
