[Top 10] Album Releases of 2019

5. Screaming Sixties – Zetsu

It’s somewhat bittersweet to include Screaming Sixties on this list to be honest with you. Their first album “Zetsu” was a long time coming, the culmination of many years of hard work and relentless touring all over Japan and even a few places a bit further afield too. It features pretty much the duo’s entire discography in all of its rerecorded glory, with many of the songs featured never having seen a CD release before. If anyone were looking for the perfect starting point for getting into the group then this album would certainly be it. Unfortunately the group never really got to fully enjoy the fruits of their labor as not long after the album’s release Montero announced she was pregnant and despite her desire to continue with the group the writing was on the wall. Thankfully she’s doing well and enjoying her life as a parent now and Kai has moved on to form her own band and is doing pretty well for herself too. It still sucks that the Sixties are gone but they sure did leave some legacy behind them. Full Review
