Concept albums aren’t something that we see a lot from Idol groups, with the odd exception to that rule of course. It’s not really something the genre lends itself well to, mostly for reasons of practicality, but when it does the results are often rather special. xoxo(Kiss&Hug) EXTREME were the latest group to attempt a concept album in 2019, with their “The Both Sides Of The Bloom” release also serving as the group’s first proper album release. It chronicles the life of an idol and all of the ups, downs, worries, relationship troubles and what have you that go into it. A release that is at times a challenging listen but the concept is fantastic and something that everyone should listen to at least once. Full Review
