2019 was very much a year of rebuilding for HAMIDASYSTEM, and I’m still not entirely sure why that even had to be the case in the first place. Most of the group’s former members are still active in new group CROSSNOESIS, who are produced by the same people who produced the new HAMIDASYSTEM’s first album “down”. The now duo’s debut full length while perhaps a little samey in the vocal department at times features some great performances from both members in what is perhaps one of the most surprising debuts of the year. Musically the group’s sound is still rooted in Electronica but with plenty of Shoegaze, Alt Rock and other influences to create a very compelling album that more than exceeded my expectations of both what it and this new iteration of the group could be. Definitely one to watch in 2020 if you ask me. Full Review
