7. sora tob sakana – World Fragment Tour

Major label life is full of ups and downs as far as Idol music goes, at least in my opinion anyway. You of course get some pretty cool stuff on occasion but now that a group has many different masters to serve things inevitably get watered down some. Well, sora tob sakana are doing their best to walk that fine line and while a couple of their singles since going major have been a bit of a miss, their first full length “World Fragment Tour” isn’t pulling any punches. Pulling from a whole host of influences like City Pop, Orchestral, Jazz and more to create an album with a diverse tracklist but all tied together with an overarching theme of Electronica. At times it gets a bit too experimental for its own good, but I think it’s great that despite their major label tag the group is still afforded plenty of room to get creative outside of their various anime tie-up commitments.
