Ryokuoushoku Shakai are a band with an origin story as old as time itself. Four friends with a love of music who met at school and decided to start a band. “ADORE” is the second mini-album from the group and I guess broadly speaking you could say that their sound is Piano Rock but that’s not all that’s on offer here. You’ve got your ballad, your folksy singalong number and I guess most importantly of all you have vocalist Nagaya Haruko’s powerful singing voice to tie it all together. To me Ryokuoushoku Shakai feel like a band to keep your eye on, they have a great sound that’s sure to have broad appeal and I can’t imagine them not getting snapped up by one of the bigger Japanese record labels if they haven’t already been.
