After almost a year between releases, DADARAY returned with their new mini-album “DADABABY” in early October and as expected, Kawatani Enon of indigo la End fame once again returns to songwriting duties for this one. The trio’s fourth release in such a format sees them collect the tracks “mother’s piano” and “singing i love you baby” from their “tandoor” digital single that release at the end of 2018, along with 4 new tracks. The band say that this record is an exploration of the changes and growth in their sound since their debut and the end result is a collection of tracks that radiate a pleasant warmth and a feeling of playfulness. Lead track “Setsuna dareka” is a personal highlight, but the entire release is packed with rich melodies and smooth tones that are sure to delight the ears. Plenty of layers to unwrap on this release so make some time and have a listen.
