Japan’s “LOUDEST HORROR PUNK ANGELS” XTEEN are a group that I’m honestly surprised haven’t become more popular with fans outside of Japan yet. They’ve got the look, the attitude, the heavy as hell songs and oh yeah, SAKI from Mary’s Blood does all of their guitars for them too. They’ve once again packed all of this into their latest single “THE NEW BLACK” while also adding a few newer elements to their slowly expanding discography to keep things feeling fresh. Shouted vocals and anthemic choruses pair with thrashy Punk Rock instrumentals to create songs with an authentic feel to them and they definitely aren’t shying away from the sort of grit and bite that you would expect from their genre of choice. Forget pink, orange or any of those other colors, XTEEN are the new black and you guys need to get with the program. Full Review
