Aimyon – Haru no Hi

What better way to start off another one of these roundups than with a release from Aimyon? It feels like more often than not that the singer-songwriter is the lead-off batter for these things anyway. “Haru no Hi” is the soloist’s 7th single and the follow-up to her “Shunkanteki Sixth Sense” album that I featured in a previous article. The title track serves as the theme for the “Crayon Shin-chan Shinkon Ryokou Hurricane ~Ushinawareta Hiroshi~.” movie and is a nice, sentimental sounding acoustic song with some nice melodies and a pretty bright atmosphere. B-side “Carp” on the other hand offers the listener another acoustic driven song but this time with a bit of a Latin flair and some rather lovely, smooth vocals. With Aimyon you always expect some top quality songs and this release is no exception when it comes to that.
