Am I cheating with this pick? Eh, maybe just a little bit but honestly it’s more of a “delete as applicable” situation. Yanamute absolutely killed it in 2018 with the release of not only a new album but then another new album’s worth of material spread across 3 EPs released in consecutive months. It’s almost a shame that this material didn’t get released together as a physical album but as digital downloads, although I believe they are starting to sell it all together physically at shows now. Hey, maybe it can be in my Top 10 albums for 2019! There aren’t many groups who can touch Yanamute when it comes to vocal talent and their producers are creating some of the most interesting (to me anyway), fuzzy Rock instrumentals in the scene right now.
