I’ve always meant to delve into Japan’s Punk Rock scene, but time and other commitments (like writing about all of that Idol stuff) have always got in the way. I’m trying my best to actually make time in 2018 and if there’s more bands like STARVINGMAN out there then it looks like it will be time well spent. “Sound of Sirens” is the band’s second full-length album and it hits on pretty much every aspect of what I love about Punk music. Fast paced, melodic, catchy…it’s like I’m back in the 90s when I listen to this record. The songs are short, sweet and to the point too which is just as it should be. This might be one of the best Punk albums I’ve heard in recent years so I guess I better get digging to see if I can unearth any more gems.
