Silent Siren – Fujiyama Disco

Silent Siren get a bit of a hard time from…”purists” I guess you’d call them. Apparently they’re not a “real band” or something, I don’t know. What I do know is that “Fujiyama Disco” has a pretty great bass line. Wrap a fun, catchy song around that and you’re really onto a winner. Yeah, it’s not my absolute favorite Silent Siren song of all time sure, but I’m one of those people that really likes “Cherry Bomb” so what do I know. Not sure how many people have never checked out Silent Siren before now but if you haven’t then “Fujiyama Disco” is a decent start.

Don’t sleep on those b-sides either though. “Love Balloon” is pretty good…for a slower song, and has some pretty solid vocal hooks and instrumental arrangements. If pianos and fat bass lines are more your thing then “Pandora” definitely has you covered on that front, even if it’s not the most vocally interesting song ever. Then there’s “Days”, which doesn’t really do too much for me if I’m being totally honest but it’s still a fun, albeit slow Pop-Rock song if that’s your kind of thing.
