I’m a fairly new convert to Elfriede myself, having only really found out about the 4-piece girl band around the time that their first album “real-Ize” released about a year ago. They’re now following it up with new mini-album “rebirth” featuring a selection of 6 new tracks for our listening pleasure. Leading off with the already anthemic “Break Heart”, then getting a little bit experimental on third track “Haruyume” before treating us to something a bit more melodic and emotional with “Beyond the Rainbow” then finally rounding things out with yet another huge anthem in the somewhat inappropriately titled “Silence”. I know girl bands like this can be looked down upon by some but I really enjoy them as part of a balanced listening diet and you all should too. It’s just some catchy, upbeat Rock music so don’t overthink it too much.
