In my opinion YUZUKINGDOM, the Metal band side project of Q’ulle’s Yuzuki and several members of BLOOD STAIN CHILD, is easily one of the more underrated musical acts I’ve heard in the past couple of years. A member of a Pop group both fronting and providing harsh vocals for a Metal band really shouldn’t work, but it sure does here. “DADAISM” is the project’s second album, collecting several tracks from the band’s “PANDEMIC” EP as well as venue only release “ODD PARADE”. Also featured are 7 new offerings which once again provide some quality songs in that Metal/Hardcore/Screamo sort of realm. Personal highlights for me include “Memento Mori” and “Bogeyman” or if you’re looking for something a bit more melodic and Pop influenced then “Living art” would be well worth checking out as well. Given the seemingly huge appeal of female fronted J-Metal bands in the west I’m confident that if that your thing then you’ll definitely want to be adding YUZUKINGDOM to your playlist as well. It’s just a shame that Yuzuki announced she’s leaving the entertainment business recently.
