Ever listen to something just because the cover happened to catch your eye? That’s pretty much what happened with me and Shuuden Koudou’s second album “Juuban Mirai”, so props to whoever was behind the concept of the jacket cover on this one. Turns out the music on offer isn’t half bad either, mainly drawing on influences from Ambient Synth-Pop but also mixing in acoustic guitar and some more Rock tilted elements here and there. Some people might recognize vocalist Saito Rina from the 2016 Miss iD contest/audition/thingy. She claims to have not really been interested in music before this venture which is somewhat hard to believe given how great her vocals are but okay. She is joined by Mabe Shuichi and Nishiura Kensuke, both formally of SÅtaisei Riron and current members of the Rock band Vampillia. I should probably go back and check out their self-titled debut at some point.
