Ah majiko, I believe this is the second time I am featuring one of her releases in one of these features. She first caught my ear at the beginning of last year with her debut mini-album “CLOUD 7” and she has now recently released her second in the form of “AUBE”. Musically this release is a bit all over the map, from the Alternative Rock of “Learn to Fly” to the Synth tinged Jazz of “Agaruta no Mayoigo” or the distorted Hard Rock of “Darwin-sensei no Kentai” it really doesn’t like to pigeonhole itself that’s for sure. More things for different people to like, or perhaps some people will only end up hearing one song from this release that doesn’t resonate with them and they won’t take the time to check out any of the others. I guess that’s the risk you take putting out an album like this, I certainly liked everything I heard at least.
