This roundup wouldn’t be complete unless I included the awesome Yabai T-Shirts Yasan in here. Man, these guys are all kinds of fun and the fact that they’re being intentionally tongue in cheek gives that extra bit of charm to their music too. Don’t get it twisted either, just because their performances and subject matter are a bit goofy doesn’t mean that they aren’t putting out some high quality Rock tunes. “Galaxy Of The Tank-top” is the Osaka trio’s 2nd full length album and I can’t recommend it enough. If I had to describe their sound I would say think Maximum the Hormone but with maybe half of the brutality. Since I’m a big fan of Maximum the Hormone I guess it makes sense that I’d also be a big fan of Yabai T-Shirts Yasan given their similarities musically. If I was doing a non-Idol Top 10 albums of 2018 then this release would be very highly ranked.
