Electronic unit macaroom are a new discovery for me and a very welcome one at that. They describe their material as “Poppy music adopted from the sound function of the words called “phonelyrics””…yeah, me neither. “SWIMMING CLASSROOM” is their third album and it might not be the kind of thing some of you would expect me to like. Well, I’m allowed to like Ambient sounding music with wispy sounding vocals every now and then okay? Indeed, “SWIMMING CLASSROOM” is for the most part an Ambient Electronic album with some very interesting vocal production, which I guess is what macaroom were talking about when they described their sound. I found it pretty unique at least, and for those rare moments in my life where I’m looking for some chill beats to throw on and relax to I will certainly be looking up macaroom to provide that for me.
