Yanakoto Sotto Mute were a group that I had heard a lot of people talking about, but I never really got around to listening to. The release of their debut album “BUBBLE” seemed like as good a time as any to dip my toe into the pool and I’m glad I did. For a group that had only been around for about 8 months at that point (or for any group for that matter), this album is a very accomplished collection of songs. Most of the songs have a Rock base but then incorporate elements from Grunge, Punk, EDM, etc to fill in the outline. Vocally the group is very strong, which isn’t that surprising given the ages of the members combined with their previous musical experience. This album will likely rank a lot higher on other peoples’ lists and rightfully so.
