If you guessed that indigo la End were going to be the other Kawatani Enon project featured in this roundup then…I suppose you’re a pretty logical person. “PULSATE” is the fourth major album from the band, comprising of 11 tracks in total. Only about half of the album is new material, with the rest comprising of previously released songs “Touya no Magic”, “Play Back End Roll” and “Haru no Iutoori” as well as remixes of “Shizuku ni Koishite” and “Playback”. Remixes aren’t something I ever really care to see on an album but the ones here are fine so curious new listeners shouldn’t be put off. I do vastly prefer the Lounge Pop and Indie Rock offerings from the album’s 9 other tracks however, with Kawatani turning out several new emotional, and at times melancholic, hits in “Ao Ito”, “Kemuri Koi” and “Misemono” to give a few examples.
