A weekly roundup of the past week’s digital releases.
Lately I’ve been trying to think of ways to expand the sort of content I’m putting out on the site. I really do enjoy writing all of those long reviews that you see get posted every week, but I feel like I could probably still be doing more. The only problem is I don’t exactly have a ton of spare time to be sitting here typing up even more of a storm, so the problem has always been trying to come up with new content that is in some way helpful/valuable to the visitors of my site but not too time consuming for me to put together.
This year really has seen a shift in the Idol scene towards digital releases. Thanks in large part to the very well documented global pandemic that we still find ourselves in the midst of currently. Its been hard for groups to get their music out there in the usual ways so Japan has finally been dragged, kicking and screaming into the 21st century and music from all of our favorite groups is now more readily available than ever. Back in my day you had to walk backwards uphill, in a blizzard to borrow a computer with a 56k modem, etc, etc.
Now I don’t know about you guys but while this shift to digital has been a very positive thing, it has also made keeping up with all of these new releases even more difficult. At least for me anyway, and I always find myself checking my digital platform of choice, social media and other such places to see if anything new has come out. So I figured if I’m doing all of that already then why not put it all together in a weekly recap post and share it with you guys. Below you’ll find links to most of last week’s digital Idol releases, well the ones I think would be relevant to people visiting this site at least, and you can tap on the cards to get taken over to LinkCore which will have ways to listen to your chosen release on your digital platform of choice.
I have to admit, this was a bit of a spur of the moment thing that I dreamt up at 4am while getting drunk on Jack and Cokes, so I don’t know if this is really useful to anyone or not. As such, any feedback would be greatly appreciated and I’m pretty much up for changing most aspects of this and even widening it up to more “Traditional” or super obscure stuff. I’m basically just trying to help people keep track of all of this music, so if you can think of ways to make this even better then please don’t hesitate to let me know.

Take a look, click on stuff that looks interesting to you and hopefully you find something cool that might have otherwise passed you by.
