A weekly roundup of the past week’s digital releases.
It’s the start of a new week, which means it’s time to take a look back at all (well, most) of the digital music releases from the past 7 days! Welcome to the third installment of Last Week in Digital, a new segment on the site that’s still very much in the feeling out process but so far so good so expect to see more of these going forward as long as the interest keeps up and the feedback remains positive. The goal from the start has been to help people keep track of all of this new music coming out of the Japanese Idol scene and while this method isn’t 100% perfect I think it’s doing a pretty decent job so far and many of you seem to agree with me.
This edition of our weekly roundup is a bit truncated through no fault of anyone’s, save for perhaps most of the groups we follow who decided they were all going to take last week off for some reason. There were still a handful of new tracks that dropped throughout the week, but nowhere near the volume that we’ve seen since the start of these articles. That’s how it goes sometimes though folks and I’m sure the week ahead and many of the weeks after that will be much more fruitful and our heads will once again be positively spinning as we try to stay on top of all of this stuff.
That said, given that there were relatively few new releases last week that should mean that you all hopefully have enough time to check out everything that did come out if you haven’t already done so. I made a list of all of the stuff that I was able to find and included it below like always, but there’s a good chance that I missed something so if you found a cool new release and want us all to know about it then definitely leave a comment or share it out on social media. Any feedback on this series is also encouraged and appreciated as I’m always looking for ways to improve both this and many other aspects of the website.
With all of that said, feel free to have a click through all of the releases listed below and see if anything catches your ear. I know there isn’t many this week but there was still a decent enough variety in terms of styles and genres so hopefully you’ll all find something that’s even a little bit interesting to you.
